the answer is this, because there are two types of men, the faithful and the unfaithful and yes it is the men more than the women who cheat. for the faithful, marriage has whole-hearted meaning and for those who are unfaithful (and they know it) then marriage shouldn't even be thought of.

Not true. This is very difficult area to study because of socially acceptable response bias but I think studies are consistent that men are more likely to admit cheating than women but women are also prone to cheat--though not in the same numbers as men.
